CBEST & CSET Multiple Subject
The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) Beginning Teacher Programs offers test preparation for the CBEST and CSET Multiple Subject Exams.

TBD *Must have minimum 15 registrations *Sessions will take place virtually via zoom Learn key skills and strategies developed by BTPS Testing and the authors of CliffsNotes CBEST. Our credentialed instructors provide you with expert in-class instruction, successful test-taking strategies, computer-assisted information, and practice testing by topic area. Test areas covered are: Mathematics, Reading Comprehension, and Essay Writing. Class instruction includes a review of problem-solving skills and math concepts, as well as approaches to help you improve your reading comprehension and essay writing skills. Two class meetings consist of a mathematics review (problem-solving, estimation, measurement, and numerical/graphic relationships). One class meeting consists of multiple approaches to help you improve your reading comprehension and essay writing skills. The book included in the course fee is CliffsNotesTestPrep CBEST® preparation guide revised by authors of BTPS Testing.

Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 9:00am-4:00pm Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 9:00am-4:00pm Saturday, July 15, 2023 from 9:00am-4:00pm Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 9:00-4:00pm *Must have minimum 15 registrations *Sessions will take place virtually via zoom Learn key skills and strategies including a five-point learning advantage developed by BTPS TESTING and the authors of CliffsNotes CSET Multiple Subjects 4th Edition. Strategies and techniques for answering the multiple-choice and constructed-response questions will be discussed and selected areas will be reviewed. This workshop is designed to help students apply their knowledge to meet exam requirements in each of the exam subtests, but is not a substitute for formal academic course work. CSET test areas include: Subtest I – History/Social Science and Reading, Language & Literature; Subtest II – Science and Math; Subtest III – Visual and Performing Arts, Physical Education and Human Development. The book included in the course is written by the faculty of BTPS Testing, CliffsNotesTestPrep CSET® including two full-length practice tests for enhanced home study.
