*Must have Preliminary or Clear Multiple Subject, Single Subject, or Education Specialist Credential to apply.
The accelerated intern program is currently closed for the 23-24 school year. If you are interested in the 24-25 program, please check back in March of 2024 to sign up for an information meeting.

WHO QUALIFIES FOR THE ACCELERATED PROGRAM?

Participants who hold an existing general education credential and are looking to become an education specialist in either mild/moderate, moderate/severe, or early childhood special education, may qualify to become an Accelerated District Intern. Candidates must be employed by a school district or charter as "Teacher of Record" for their classroom. They will work closely with a LACOE Practicum Supervisor. Additionally, they attend evening credential classes twice per week.
