Induction Program
overview
The LACOE Induction Program is a job-embedded, state-approved, induction program for newly credentialed teachers. The LACOE Induction Program offers the support of a trained mentor as teachers go through an individualized induction program to clear their preliminary education specialist, single, and/or multiple subjects teaching credential. Teachers work individually with a mentor through a series of experiences designed to grow the teachers' practices toward mastery of the California Standards of the Teaching Profession. Evidence of this collaboration and reflection is collected and archived in an electronic portfolio using the Canvas Learning Management System.
